We are DELIGHTED to announce some details on At Proud’s new home in The Stables Market - The Horse Hospital, just a stone’s throw from the Gin House, which will open in March 2008. And the REALLY good news is it will be a spectacular leap forward from the blueprint of its predecessor!

Heres whats in store:

9000 sq ft (as opposed to 5000 sq ft) stunning gallery / bar venue
800 capacity - Live room with 500 capacity
200 year old building
Private table booths, each holding 20-40 people with table service
A large heated terrace

Be provided the closing night party for the old venue (for us the
highlight of 2007), and now we can’t wait to help open the new one! Our
weekly Saturday night shindig returns, and we will be right back where
we left off - mixing camden rock n roll spirit with cutting edge new
bands and electronica, adding a dash of performance art, a hint of
decadent glamour, and serving it all up on the rocks ice cold!!!

Another fine night under the starry skies of Bloomsbury Square… how
we have enjoyed mixing indie shabbiness with a bit of ballroom glam.

That was the last of our adventures in to the west end for now (although we
will be seeing in 2008 just over the road!). But big plans afoot for
the new year. Watch this space. And, wait til we tell you all about the
new Proud venue you undeserving little bunny rabbits… xxx

3 days left…woohoo…

Those of you who were there on that historical evening (and can
remember any of it) may recall a couple of guys running around the
venue with hi definition video cams. They also filmed all the bands who
made the night so special.

Well… we’re gonna show you
the results. A full video podcast will be available in the next few
weeks, but you can see some sneak previews of the footage here.

Saturday night was the last EVER party at Proud Galleries, and we went out in style. Helped by our friends The Mystery Jets, A.Human, Theoretical Girl, The Bleeps, The Mules and Shock Defeat we gave the old place the send off it deserved. Check the gallery for photographic evidence. Moving
onwards and upwards, until Proud Camden returns later this year, we are
delighted to turn your attention towards the first of a series of new
events…..

BE @ THE BLOOMSBURY BALLROOM will take place on September 29th, 2007, and will be an elaborate 20s themed ball with all the trimmings, rock n roll chic meets techno trash bohemian dandyism in the heart of Bloomsbury.

Yes after 7 months of pure disco face melt every Saturday night, Proud Galleries is being knocked down. They finally found us. Thank you thank you thank you to everyone thats made it special, each and every one of you deserves a kiss and a cuddle.

The plan for the closing night is to get as many shhhelebrity guest performances in as possible around what we had planned for the week anyway, so expect a star spangled occasion and probably far too many people on stage most of the time. David H plans something a bit special for the night as well. Using only telekinesis and a simple rope and pulley system, he will conduct his final Proud dj set from the very roof of the Gin House. You heard it here first, folks. All requests gratefully accepted.

Proud will be back in Camden soon and we’ll be right back where we belong, but n the meantime, we at The International Be-Foundation have a new party to announce: BE AT THE BLOOMSBURY BALLROOM 29/09/07.
